First time visiting 2/1/2025 after I did some searches in Mediterranean food. We got the jumbo gyro plate and it was amazing. Staff is very nice and the girl working the register was so nice she even brought our food out and apologized cause we waited in line to order! Wow talking about customer service. The is is now going to be my place to go for a good gyro but will try something different next time. Fries were awesome too!
Number One Gyro has long been one of my favorite places to grab a quick bite for lunch or dinner. The pitas are always amazing and fresh. The fries that come with your meal are always hot and delicious. Thank you for doing such an amazing job taking care of your customers for as long as in this community.
I have ordered from number one several times, and I have been equally pleased with every delivery. They fill your order quickly and again the items are delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant.
AUTHENTIC GYROS! These guys & Gals got it going on! With over 2 decades in this old Taco Bell store they have perfected the Gyro! Old world taste & new world speed is a winning combo! This is where you will find us the next time we are in town!

I ordered the #9 which is the large gyro sandwich and Fri. The gyro had good flavor and was juicy. The fries were hot and seasoned with a. Paprika blend. Only drawback was they serve Pepsi product for sodas. I Super cheap- in the Chicago market this meal would have been $16 and not $11
The best Greek salad! Love it with chicken. Gyros are also great. The spicy feta and hummus with warm pita is also always good. And their fries are amazing! Food is super fast and always consistently high quality.
I hate that I've never written a review on this business ... when I was first introduced I lived in the area, however, now I visit the area when necessary lol. I stand on this place 10 toes down because when I came to this place 5 years ago the taste is the same, the gyro is the same the meat, the sauce is the same , the experience is the same.
We ordered dinner from here via DoorDash and it was so delicious! I've lived on the Westside for years and always wanted to try them; I'm so glad we finally did! I got the Regular Gyro (6oz), $7.20 and was stuffed!! The meat was so tasty and all the vegetables were crisp and fresh. We ordered this at 6:35pm and it was at our house by 6:55pm. Incredibly fast customer service on Number One Gyro Shoppe's, as well as DoorDash!! I'm not sure what the inside of this restaurant looks like, since we ordered via DoorDash, but I want to go sometime! Where else can you get a meal for $7.20 nowadays and be super full?! Definitely worth it, and excited to try their falafel!!!
